About the Tournament
The Roadrunners play weekly ball hockey throughout the year and are passionate about good, hard, clean hockey. In 2015 this passion led to the creation of the Roadrunners Summer Classic, an annual adult 3-on-3 ball hockey tournament where sportsmanship and cleanliness of play is held in the highest regard.
What do the winners receive? Nothing! We believe a weekend of great hockey to be its own reward, with year-long bragging rights serving as a nice bit of icing on the cake. It has also been our experience that rewarding winning with cash or other prizes only serves to incentivise chippy play, which goes against our vision for the tournament. Our only prize is free entry for the most sportsmanlike team into the next year's tournament.
Ultimately, our goal is to help build a community of people that enjoy playing ball hockey both with and against each other, regardless of the score at the end of the game!
